Ultimately, does it not all boil down to the one simple question that you should ask yourself before you post to a forum? Would I say this to this person if I were standing in front of them?
Respect and civility go a long way whatever your forum for discussion.

I started reading the review of the new Leica so thought it would be fun to
try a rangefinder, can't afford a $5k experiment so settled for a $40 Yashica
MG-1. The thing is so cheap I had to buy a Canonet QL??? and something else
that completely escapes me but will show up next week.
Today was the first day with it and the past may have a future....
The thing is, it's still an experiment so I didn't want to invest in a scanner
just yet but I would like a digital capture of them so I was wondering if
anybody could suggest how best to do this. Will labs scan or is there an
alternative method. Any suggestions welcome as this is my first roll of film
in about 5 years.

Let's say sunrise is 7am. The reason I ask is because I'd like to avoid those
cold blue shadows taht seem to creep in just before and just after sunrise.
While the Golden Hour is good for creating shadows am I correct in saying that
you don't want it too close to sunrise as there are just too many shadows.
Also, I'll be driving along a 60km stretch so I want to maximize the good
shooting time as the plan is to go two consecutive days.
I find that I'm usually good to ok up until about 10;30am but how early do you
landscape shooters get out and are you ok with those cold looking shadows?

It's funny, I started reading this thread knowing what to do and then everybody chirps in :)
Seriously, I shoot in ARGB and print in it, if I put it on the web then i convert it to SRGB, if you don't do that you'll find that the photo will appear ot be a bit hazy or cloudy, don't know why but I'll bet somebody here does.
