Good, but I would prefer either to see complete silhouettes or more light on the statues.

I probably should be able to mark this image higher, but the resolution and compression presented doesn't allow me to see enough detail. It appears that the sky has been poorly merged with the image resulting in a halo around the tree (but that could just be jpeg artifacts), and the rock in the centre appears to have been brought in from another image (but there is not enough detail to either understand it as an introduction or confirm that it is natural). 4/4

This is one of those shots that is very difficult to give a just mark here at Photo.net. There is no question (in my mind) that this is a very very good shot, but the problem comes with originality. Half dome has been photographed so many times (not least by Ansel Adams of course), but what's wrong with taking more? Nothing. You could try to get an original angle, and that would be fine, but why not try to create your own excellent version of an image that you enjoy? This sort of problem applies to any often-photographed landmark.

I love the drop of water coming from his bill and the shape of his neck. White feathers are always difficult to capture, but there is definitely detail here and the subject is well isolated from the background.

I would like to see the edge of the bottom lip. The skin tones are excellent though.
