I'm not familiar with the HP line, and I don't know if you're looking for a dual B&W / color printer. But if your primary interest is in B&W, you might consider the Epson 1280 with a B&W inkset. I use this setup with inks from inksupply.com. I've been very pleased with the ease of use and the ouptut. Plus, it will handle paper up to 13" wide.

Take a look at http://www.inksupply.com They offer b&w inksets for various printers. I don't know if they have them for the R800 yet.

I couldn't remember the protocol of dark/white out, so I abandoned it altogether. Now I buy those peel and stick dots and simply put it on the dark slide and write 'EXPOSED' on it.

I'm new to LF. I'd like to take some extreme close-ups without

having to calculate exposure adjustments due to bellows extension.

Is it possibly to meter at the film plane using a regular hand-held

light meter? I was thinking that I could remove the back, and under

the dark cloth simply hold the meter at the film plane. If I did

this, I know I'd have to adjust for the fact that the light hitting

the meter would already reflect apeture and shutter speed settings,

but I don't know how to do this. Is this practical? Thanks.

Does anyone know whether the VC bayonet mount on the 35 pancake II M

mount is compatible with the Zeiss Ikon lens? I could save a few $$$

if it is. Thanks.

Paul, what kind of B&W inks are you using? Any experience with the MIS UltraTone inks?
