Lumix is always over-priced coz money is needed to feed the mouths of players in the supply chain. For example, Pana sales company's cost of Lumix = retailing price x 0.8 / 1.25

Well, you can calculate the cost of your local panasonic sales company or agency by the following formula:
Cost = retail price x 0.8 / 1.25

Look. The ideas of the features of LX3 was suggested by me in 2006 when i visited panasonic in order to continue the
sale momentum of LX1. From Panasonic, LX3 and GF1 were the last salable cameras. Just keep it.

Why don't you put your photos at the Gallery of photo.net instead of discussion forum?

Dennis,
I would worry the future of m4/3. As Olympus and Panasonic are running huge loss of camera business, just not sure
they give up business in near future.

Do you know if Phaseone H10 IR sensitive or not? Just want to shoot ir photos with H10 by putting a R720 in front of the lens.

I attach a leaf aptus 22 to my 503 and swc. The sensor is about 36x48mm. With 38mm lens of swc, this set up can
satisfy my indoor shooting. Or I shoot 2 to 3 and titch by photoshop. I also put aptus 22 to Flexbody. Since Hasselblad
Lens is designed to 6x6cm film, I still have some room to shift the lens. My lens collection included 40mm, 50mm,
100mm, 150mm, 250mm. It satisfies most of my shooting requirements. And important point is this combination is very
handy. Price of aptus 22 at eBay is god. You may check it out.

That's the rule of the game. Without involving big names, like Nikon, Canon or Sony, M4/3 has no future.

Hi,
I am new to HDR technique and would like to seek for your advice.
I understand the needs to shoot at least 3 or better 6 photos with different exposures to make a HDR photos. But, sometimes it is not possible to do it, or I get a chance to take one exposure only. Can I use the following way to create a HDR photo?
1. to shoot an exposure in raw
2. to develop 6 or 7 photos in Camera Raw by varying the exposures.
3. to use Photoshop to produce a HDR photo by those 6 or 7 photos made in step 2.

Just come across an idea to put a R72 filter in front of Hasselblad lens and shoot IR photos with my Leaf digital back. Any advice?

I would go for Fuji X10 simply becuase I expect micro4/3 format will die soon. I would invest in a manufacturer who is delicated to camera business, like Fuji.

i still remmeber 20 years ago when i bought a technics organ to my kids who went to technics organ academy every weekend. but suddenly, pana closed its techincs organ business all of a sudden simply because of continued loss of money.

imagine how my kids were trying to adapt to other organ manufacturer - yamaha... a painful experience to my kids and a pain experience to my pocket...

look, pana is a manufacturer who could not tolerate any unit having negative profit in consecutive three years. pana killed its mobile phone unit in 2005 and tried to sell its plasma facility because of poor TV business now. as a consumer, i am better to reply on a producer who RELYS 100% on camera business, like Nikon, Leica and Canon.
there could be chance that i invest on pana mini 4/3 system with somes lens and suddenly pana closes its camera business. just a waste of money. right? GH2 was a good camera? ha ha, what a joke. ok, even if it were a good selling model, how the sales of GH2 could compensate for the loss of market segments where gf1 and other fx models made in the past.
yes, i am not from western countries, but what's wrong with that. i just know management style pf pana. pana is a old fashioned company and senior members of camera factory just fail to follow the new trend of digital camera, not even mentions leading the trend.

-

I know you are writers for pana. it is very right that you are performing your jobs. how i knew gf2 & gf3 failed, you also knew that...

-

after the failure of GF2 and GF3, GX1 is likely the only model from pana to recover from the red sales figure this fiscal year alongside the huge financial loss in TV business. but can GX1 be a hero? definitely NO. Lumix is fading out from our minds... will pana sell its camera business?

Never come across...

Should you worry, why did you take risk? after 311, I decide not to buy anything made by Japanese manufacturers,
even they claim that production outside Japan. reason is very simple, if Alternative is available, why should I take the
risk?

I use photoshop cs5 with very good result.

Martin,
I am in your situation as well. I finally go for Leaf Aptus 22. With a adaptor plate ($150), I attach Leaf to my 503CXi. Later on, I acquire a Flexbody. Since size of senor of Aptus 22 is 36mmx48mm, it leaves some room for camera movement with Flexbody. In fact, there are many used digital back at fairly good price. I agree with Marc, if you need AF, go for a DSLR.

-

You may try less expensive option at the beginning by buying used dgital back. There are many in used market with brands like Leaf and PhaseOne. To settle down with a 16MB or 22MB will cost much less that current models.

-

Where is your site?

-

Then, I would use Nikon FM2 if I were you.

-

Yes, William. That's why I stick to REAL Hasselblad body and lens NOT made by Japanese...

-

Both are very good lenses.

I attach 40mm to Flexbody with Leaf digital back. It offerd some room for movement.
I also put Leaf to my SWC whenever I do need movement. Personally, I like SWC.

What's wrong with the GF3?
