The gnarled appearance of the trees first caught my eye. When I saw the image on the

camera display, I realized that there were at least 2 different types of light shining on the

trees, each with a slightly different amount of infra-red radiation, accounting for the different

colors of the crab apple and willows behind.

I find this image fascinating. I see a ghostly imge of a woman on the gravestone. She appears to be letting go of her spirit in the form of the flying bird. Very well composed- congratulations

Emanuele: I like the emotinal content of the image. Placing the fence post to the right and giving more open space on the left may have helped contribute to the feeling of freedom or escape. Lovely piece.

he lost his job. He now sells matroshka dolls on the Arbat in Moscow. "You have to eat" he

explained to me.
