<p>Hi there,<br> I send my 500mm AF-S I to nikon Canada in Ontario. The manual and AF wont work. They cant fix it because there is no part avalaible for it. Before sending it they say they have all part for this model !!! Not sure what exactly is the problem but seem the AF module is broken or something like that and have to be replace.<br> Any of you have any idea of what i can do beside use it has a paperweight.<br> Thanks to you for any reply !</p>

<p>Thanks Shun to reply,</p> <p>Yes, the manuel ring turn perfectly. But the focusing mecanism dont engage at all... nothing is happening inside the lens. The distance scale is not moving neither... I did shake the lens to see if anything loose inside but everything seem thight !!!</p>

<p>Hi there,<br> I fell on a rock today. My lens was in a lowepro lens trekker 600aw, so the impact was not so hard. After the fall, i look at it and see no sign of collision, the all thing seem tight (no movement anywhere) and everything seem normal.<br> But when i try to use it the lens doesnt respond at all. No autofocus and no manual focus !!!<br> <br />Somebody have a idea of what is going on ?</p> <p>Thanks to helping me on this really bad situation...</p> <p>Jacques</p>
