I love the elegant surroundings, and this is a brave shot with all that's going on here, and the working with animals factor. It seems that the composition has nice harmony, but something seems disturbing. As it is, if front dog would lay his head on floor and were lit a little more, I think your setup would be quite effective. These dogs are huge, and although the dog in front is not dominantly lighted, it's still black dog against black clothing on the model, and dog in front obscuring model by his size, and in perspective. If you get to try more of this, I think I might try both dogs on the couch, and model on the floor? Best wishes.
