  1. If they want the RAW files, you should give them to them. However, since they are getting images that have not been edited, you should make it clear to them that they are not allowed to selectively use any of your images to make negative publicity against your photography business.

My wedding photographer kindly gave me all the RAW files even though it was not in the contract. JPEG files are worthless to serious amateur photographers. Information is lost every time you edit or save them.

  2. Thank you for posting your nightmare on this site. This is a good lesson not only to wedding photographers who

must work under stress but to anyone else who is serious about photography. I got married last year in the

Caribbean and contracted the service of a local photographer. Although I never had the opportunity of meeting him

in person before the wedding to review the details of the contract, I did speak with him on the phone. Among

many different questions, I asked him if he had enough memory cards to shoot the entire wedding in RAW format

without having to reformat a single memory card in the field. He gave me the most reassuring answer by saying

that he not only used a hard drive to back up the images in the field but he only reformatted the cards just

before his next wedding. Today memory cards are really cheap.

I hope you can recover your images. Try to please your B&G as much as you can, even if you have to refund every

    single penny. Sorry.

  3. My Pentax 67II has skipped a particular frame in two instances in the last

two months when it appears to be firing normally. This frame is not exposed

at allit only shows the film base after development. It is like exposing a

particular frame with the front lens cap on. Yesterday, for example, frame #8

is exposed; frame #9 is not exposed: frame #10 is exposed. Frame #9 is the

vertical version of frame #8 and it was taken one or two minutes later. Has

    anyone experienced something similar?

    I will appreciate your suggestions.

  4. Milan, I faced the same situation recently. I have a Pentax 67II system and I want to use both the 55mm and the 45mm lenses with GND and circular polarizer filters. After searching here on photo.net, I opted for a filter system based on what just David suggested to you. Although the 84mm rectangular filter for the coking P holder was tempting, I followed some suggestions and decided to buy the filters for the Lee holder. This is what I ordered (I have not received the items yet):1) Lee Foundation Kit (about $75.00 from B&H; 2) Lee Wide Angle Adaptors for all my wide angle lenses (~$ 60.00 each, B&H); 3)Heliopan 105mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter - Slim (~$308.00, B&H); 4)and the adaptor ring to attach the 105mm circular polarizer filter in front of the Lee holder ($52.00, Adorama). This adaptor is currently in backorder from B&H. Adorama also had it in backorder back they shipped it two days after I placed the order. Finally, I order the Singh-Ray GND filter (100x150mm), about $160.00 each. This filter is also in back order. But Singh-Ray told me he will get it on Dec. 15th and will make sure I receive it by Dec. 22nd.

If you want to know if vignetting is a problem, I will be glad to give you some feedbacks as soon as I get the complete system. Feel free to e-mail me in about two weeks.

  5. All three images taken with a Pentax 67 55mm lens (filter size 77mm)

resulted in strong vignetting when used in combination with the

Tiffen 82mm Circular Polarizer, Neutral density filters, and the

appropriate adaptor. No vignatting was observed, however, when

either filter was used alone with the adaptor. It is assumed that

the same is true for the 45mm and the 35mm lenses of this camera.

It might also be possible that only a singe filter can be placed on

    these lenses to avoid vignatting.

I would like to know if anyone has experienced something similar.

  6. I just placed an order for the G1548GT/RRS BH-55 ballhead combination

for my Pentax 67II. Together with the RRS plate for the pentax body,

I paid $1,305. Although at presnet I do not make a living out of

photography, I do enjoy having high quality images. I would like to

know some of your impressions about this tripod-head combination. I

will give you my impression later after I test this system.
