This was a dark second story shop set, lots of black lacquer. Thoughts? Comments? WIth
thanks.

Ran across this when I popped into a vintage store. Thoughts? Suggestions? With thanks.

what an odd confluence of elements says I... what say you?

unsure of whether this qualifies as a still life, or humor.. I liked the cagney poster behind the
laughing bowling bag.

I'm liking switching over to rangefinders - still getting used to the camera itself. I can't
decide if I like the sliver of the candle in the image, or if next time I would compose it just
out of view.

Photographing the set designer backstage before a perfomance. Some strobe back and
right, and some to fill in the room behind him.

Fairly new to the portraits angle. So I appreciate all suggestions.
normally, yes, I would have her remove her sunglasses. :) But I think it works in this one.
No?

Everything works together in this pic. The light, and the curves all converge on the two men. I don't know if they were your subject per se...but it works beautifully. 6/6

yeah - Im a bit dissapointed at PNet's default small version for this... it's a little better at when you click large, but the width does make it hard to take in. Thanks Claude!

I've always liked the deep colors from stage lighting. I wish there was a little more exposure here, to define the shoulders, and hair better, but overall quite nice concert shot. 5/5

I would have loved to see a little bounce fill just to catch their eyes a bit. But then again, the starkness really gives it a nice feel. Nice shot! 5/6

I like the ultrawide panorama's - but I think I may have gone overboard with this one. Is
the aspect ratio too wide to be useful? It prints out at about 7"x70" - which is stunning,
but maybe too much? Thoughts? Critiques?

I wish I could see her other eye, or that the one I do see wasn't so close to the edge, but a nice shot overall. 5/5

Great, classic shot of such a bird. Well done. 6/5

Had a chance to wander around downtown with the 4x5 for the first time in a little while.
This is a revised crop, paying closer attention to composition. (Previous version deleted).

Really feels like a morning - a little mist still in the air, and the dew adding saturation (literally) to the green. Very nice. 6/5

Very nice... the extreme contrast (ie. losing the water) and the brilliance of the water droplets is stunning. 6/6

And well shot. It seems like the skin tones are a little bit too cyan, but nothing that I find disturbing.
It's a fine shot with really well done styling on the hair and makeup.
I think other than the skin tone, I would have either posed the model to eliminate the tatoo on her back entirely, or made it more identifiable..as it is I do find that slightly distracting.

Thanks Rob - I know what you mean about the orange...it is a street lamp behind me - but I decided not to eliminate it in PS...perhaps, I'll try to knock the saturation down a little...
If there had ever been a time for a minor power outage...this was it.

I think that is quite a tree...
did you shoot with an infra-red filter, or convert in PS?
Very nice either way. 6/5

I do like it, but I am puzzled byt eh blue color by the water line...and by the colors overall. Filtered? Photoshopped?
But the composition is strong and I like it.

Bang! Haha!
