Cats and dogs in front of brick walls was my intention Wayne ;-)

For now I will follow Michels advice and carry a 77mm polfilter in my photobag, thank you all!

Michael, I just got the DA 21mm yesterday and will take first photos over the weekend with it, but maybe more touristic ones than test series :-) But I will do a comparison series later. Thanks Matt as well. I have turned internal lens correction on by default but i'm not a fast shooter so slow writing does not bother me that much anyway.

Does anybody use a 43mm filter inside the lens shade of the DA 21mm?

Good ideas and welcome comments, thank you all.

Hi Pentaxians
Did anyone compare the lens correction for DA primes in the K7/K5 versus the lens profiles in Lightroom?
I have enabled it in the K5 but never really compared the results so far since I got mostly unsupported glass. Any experience?

Thank you both for your quick and helpful answers. John, I will test sky uniformness with my 16-45mm first, a good advice.

Hi Pentaxians
I'm now the proud owner of the Pentax-DA 21mm limited and looking for a good polfilter solution.
I will try a 52mm polfilter with a 52-49 filter adapter and then use a 52 wide angle metal shade, do you have a better and less bulky solution? The Kaesemann slim filters cost quite a lot here, so I look for a something a bit more affordable. Could I mount a 43mm filter directly on the lens? thanks in advance.

A video film camera is not always the best solution because for ex. with my Sony Handcam I can not control DOF (Aperture). Where it shines is image stabilisation and recording in low light, I would not use the Pentax without a tripod. Since you usually want to cut videos anyway, 5 minutes recording time seems plenty in a lot of cases for me. Thanks for coming back Don.
