    She definitely has that goddess thing going on. Oh to be in that gaze.
  2. Wonderful scene. Quiet and contemplative. The colors and the movement of the water lull you. I would erase the small speck at the tip of the bird’s beak. The centricity of the bird in the frame leads the eye to the tip of the beak, which appears to be pointing at the speck. Hence, the speck looms much larger than it deserves. While I love this composition, it might be interesting to make a copy of it and crop it so that the mooring (the reflected column) is eliminated and have the top left corner of the frame be defined by the rope and chain. Now the sky and the water blend completely and ambiguously. The silhouette of the bird (a green heron, by the way) is now framed by swirling Edvard Munchian clouds, and our perception alternates between water and sky. We are looking down at the heron perched just inches above the water one instant, and in the next we are looking up at it, against the sky. Magical.
