I'm new to shadow photography. This was one of my first attempts. Any comments?

I like this. It is very similar to some of the pictures in my "Aqua" series.

Interesting shot. What is that in the top-part? An icicle?

It reminds me of the first picture in my water studies. (here)

Yours is a bit sharper though. What was the shutter speed?

You have a nice exposure of the neon lights, seemingly without getting halos and glares like you often get with long exposures of lights at night. Very crisp.

Some people have trouble seeing what this is, but it is the shadow of a person juggling. The narrow gap of light was created by the curtains which were only half open. A spur of the moment picture.

Yes, there is what seems like an over exposure in the top part there. It is probably a reflecion of the flash.

You can really see the fear and vulnerability of being encaged in that eye. What animal is it?

 

I like the fact that you have focused on the fence rather than the eye. It makes the picture convey what it is supposed to convey. Had you focused on the eye, the fence would most likely be almost invisible. And the expression in the eye might have looked different too.

I calculated the speed of this drop of water to be 8.42 km/h at the instant it hit the surface.

I was originally planning to do this photo in a park, having a tree covering half the picture, but when we were at this location with these columns, I saw that it might be more suitable.

Although this is probably one of the most photographed motives at Røros, I have tried to make a somewhat original picture of it.

For information, Røros is an old mining town in Norway, now a tourist town.
