1. Yes. It is.... and I think many do it.
Just go to yahoo or hotmail, create some email adresses go back to photo.net and create some new accounts. Then go to your portfolio and sow as much rating as you wish to your own photos.
Very easy. Isn't it?
  2. It is definitively too easy for everyone to create a shadow account

or a revenge account, or a low rating account, or a high rating

account here on photo.net. Isn't it? You just need an email account

which can easly and quickly opened on the internet in few seconds.

    Anything else. Isn't it?

This is unfair and unrespectful, especially with respect to all those

people who have paid dollars for supporting the site.

This is my opinion. I might be wrong. I am curious to know what you

    think about.

  3. The extra f-stop on the 16-35 is really expensive compared to the 17-40; remember, also, that the focal lenght of the 17-40 covers @ 99% the one of the 16-35. I suggest u to carefully analyse if u really need that extra f-stop... if u wanna a wide angle lens for landscapes probably u won't need it; on the other hand if your intention is to use it for in-room shots or for shot in a low light environment then might be necessary to pays extra dollars for the extra stop.
  4.
Surely image files are re-compressed by the server: I always upload files which are generally around 500kb but once theiy are on PN in their larger size are around 100kb! This actualy means that some sort of re-compression and/or reinterpolation on jpgs is done.

Anyway... if u use the Adobe 1998 RGB this workspace has colours which are generally more desaturated respect the RBBs workspace.

Hope this helps.
