W.L.

That's the point.... and peaople like that are growing on this site.

Yes. It is.... and I think many do it.
Just go to yahoo or hotmail, create some email adresses go back to photo.net and create some new accounts. Then go to your portfolio and sow as much rating as you wish to your own photos.
Very easy. Isn't it?

Agree with u. I definitely agree with u.

It is definitively too easy for everyone to create a shadow account
or a revenge account, or a low rating account, or a high rating
account here on photo.net. Isn't it? You just need an email account
which can easly and quickly opened on the internet in few seconds.
Anything else. Isn't it?
This is unfair and unrespectful, especially with respect to all those
people who have paid dollars for supporting the site.
This is my opinion. I might be wrong. I am curious to know what you
think about.

There should be a way to do it. Few days ago some members adressed to me their own presentations and I still wonder how they did that.

The extra f-stop on the 16-35 is really expensive compared to the 17-40; remember, also, that the focal lenght of the 17-40 covers @ 99% the one of the 16-35. I suggest u to carefully analyse if u really need that extra f-stop... if u wanna a wide angle lens for landscapes probably u won't need it; on the other hand if your intention is to use it for in-room shots or for shot in a low light environment then might be necessary to pays extra dollars for the extra stop.

really don't know... I always resize my 6.3mb photos into 900x600 ones @ 72 ppi. I use sRGB both on the camera and on the PC (and Mac).

Surely image files are re-compressed by the server: I always upload files which are generally around 500kb but once theiy are on PN in their larger size are around 100kb! This actualy means that some sort of re-compression and/or reinterpolation on jpgs is done.

Anyway... if u use the Adobe 1998 RGB this workspace has colours which are generally more desaturated respect the RBBs workspace.

Hope this helps.

17-40L F4... a great lens not too much expensive and really really greatly working. I got it and feel really happy with it.

Probably it would be interesting by the staff taking into consideration to make anonymous the rating system. This would at least cancel out the baias Jacques is referring to.
Deleting own ratings

Let say I rated one picture of someone. Is there any way to cancel
this rating? I know it is possible to modify the rating but I wonder
if there is also the opportunity to cancel one rating. Thnx to
everyone.
