This Little bird was just jumping out of this branch when I took the
photo. This was done with using manual focus.

Dear Avinash,
I agree with you about the beauty of this animal. I would like them all in the wild though. Regarding the image I think the contrast between the animal and the background is not the best for a B&W photo. I like the color version.
I would also have tried a few other POVs and/or focal lenghts. In this particular image the face is so expressive you could probably crop-out the rest.
This is always a matter of taste... you ahve to follow your taste and instint.

Photography is always a matter of taste and personal preferences. I like the composition of your image and have no critiques but a question: how would it look with color?
Cheers, keep shooting,

Keeping it simple sometimes work very well. In this case the image is simple but somehow very appealing. I like it, congrats, keep shooting,

Photo was taken at first light in the morning, no filter was used. Blue
color was given by the UV light on the ektachrome daylight film.

Very nice shot. I like composition and the color of the sky and the tres hit by the sun.

They seem to be very interested in what humans do outside the
fence. Photo was taken at the Metropolitan Zoo in Santiago de Chile.

The canola flowers look great. They make the rest of the photograph look a bit less interesting. In this case I would suggest increasing saturation on the tree and sky to a point where they could compete with the foreground.
Not too much (I hate manipulating the photos) just a little bit....

This photo was taken near midnight in the country-side near
Concepción Chile. I used a tripod and long exposure (45 seconds) at
ISO-6400. The Photo was not further altered and that is how It came
out of the camera. All light was given by the full moon. You can even
see the shadows around the house and trees. The stars are also
visible.

Hi Patrick,
Very good photo, I like composition and color. I also miss the ol´ektachrome. I hated the digitalizing process though. Never drum scanned due to its expensiveness.
I would like to go again to Antarctica, when I was there I was using an old nikon A1 with the light meter damaged and had very little experience in photography.
Cheers,
Jorge

Nice picture. The colors seem a little bit oversaturated to my eye, I wonder if you were using some vivid color option or whether you manipulated color after exposure. I have got similar saturation in certain light conditions for the sky. Please share more technical details.

Jorge

I have been out of photography for a long while. Last time I was
using a Nikon F90x. Now I came back with a Nikon D3200 which has
not full compatibility with my previous lenses so all potos have been
manually focused.
I am getting into moving subjects which posses more difficulties with
manual focus... like the nice-old-days
