1.
Just my two cents. I just bought a used D300 with 17K actuations on the shutter. The camera is in mint condition and feels great in the hand. As for the noise issue, my "little" D50 is better in noise control at all iso. This is just my experience using my two eyes to view the images on screen. No scientific BS, just plain ol' carefully reviewing the images on screen. I don't know why or care, just stating the facts with my two cameras...D50 and D300. Keep shooting...Peace. BTW, my D50 has 8K actuations on the shutter.

 2. Hello. I have to diagree with the individuals that recommend Fuji NPH. I shot a wedding for one of my closest friends and although all photographs were very good, when it came to enlarging a frame shot with NPH, the grain was bad for this film. I could not believe it. It was an 8x10! Exposure was right on, as evident by 4x6 viewing. I must say that I used NPS-160 also, and it performed superbly. On other ocasions, I have used Kodak Royal Supra 400 for people shots and very much liked the performance of the film. Even at 11x14, grain was very controlled. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for listening.
