I am considering a DSLR & was looking for some input in regards
Nikon's line as to what would be the digital equivalent (or better) of
the F100 ? Any rumours regarding what could be in the pipeline from Nikon?
-thanks

I'm waiting for my film to come back but I'm curious about what others
think. For outdoor shots (late afternoon) & using my F100 & SB50DX, I
take a meter reading w/my sekonic & let's say that I get a reading of
60/5.6 for ambient light. I put my camera into manual mode (60/5.6)&
set the flash to Automatic Balanced Fill-Flash with TTL Multi-Sensor.
I drop it -1/3 or -2/3 stop & I'm shooting Portra 160NC, what kind of
results can I expect from this style ?
-many thanks

Well I'm going to pick it up today. I do however have auto rewind enabled so it will rewind the film once it reaches the end. I'm not going to sweat it too much as I have 4 more rolls to drop off & we'll see what happens w/that. Thanks for the input & replies.

It is my understanding the F100 will not operate w/o film loaded nor will it if the film is loaded incorrectly. Even so, one roll I could see but two is a stretch.

Hi,
I recently decided to try a few rolls of Kodak Portra film so I picked
up 5 rolls of 160NC & 5 rolls of 400NC for my F100. I shot 2 rolls of
the 160NC first & then 1 of the 400, I sent them out to my local
ProLab for processing. They sent me an email & told me that the 2
rolls of 160 were completely blank but the 400 came out fine. He also
told me that the edge numbers were there & he really had no ideas as
to what the problem might have been, is it possible that the film is
bad ? I'm worried about the rest of it, as some of it has already been
shot but not yet processed. If the film is bad what should I do ?

True. But what I was thinking was: if I already have film in the camera how can I keep it from advancing, if it can't be done . . . oh well.

Hi,
I'm trying to find out how to prevent my F100 from advancing film. I
want to do some flash/light metering but I don't want to burn thru
film just to get my flash dialed in. Suggestions ?
-thanks

Hi,
I havea camera body that I want to put up for long term storage and
this is what I am considering. I own a Tilia Foodsaver (vacuum sealer)
and what I was thinking is that I would seal the body w/a body cap &
w/a couple of silica gel packets in a sealed airtight bag. Any thoughts ??
-thanks
