yes steve you are correct, im just glad im not a seagull. its a shame the RNHF havnt put a kill symbol on the side. ps if anyone is wondering what we are going on about, the seafury was involved with a very large herring gull bird strike at last years margate airshow, the gull came off second best. photos of the incident are on the RNHF web site.

this absolutly stunning, you have caught an image that anyone would be honoured to put their name to, and you are a much braver man than i for braving the sands at low tide. its lucky it isnt in the severn estuary, which has the second highest tidal range on the planet at over 42 feet. please get this printed large and put it on your wall so you can enjoy it daily. best regards martin

the noise of four merlins under full throttle at such close range can
not be adequatly put in words. suffice it to say that it was an
experiance that will stay with me for years.

This has to be one of the best shots that you have ever taken of an aircraft, most of our fellow photographers who specialise in studio or landscape shots dont realise how hard it is to track and focus a 640mm focal length at 180th second HAND HELD. so as such this is well deserving of a 7/7.

i think i prefer this one (just) over the bomb bay door shot.
