Gordon, thanks for your suggestions. Did you notice her tongue sticking out in concentration? :-)

Very nice. I like the composition better than the first one.

Maybe more like this?

Thanks, Fergus. I am relatively new to any digital manipulation; I am sure I will start experimenting. Your suggestions are helpful.

Cats, resting. 70-200 2.8 + 2x teleconverter.

I think this would work better in landscape, as the foreground and the sky lack detail. It'd also help if the sun is not dead center.

A jaguar cub, 2-3 months old.

I'd like to see it in color -- probably would be even more dramatic.

It boggles my mind how anyone can rate this photo below at least 5/5. Do you expect it to be pretty? Nicely balanced and proportional? Folks, if this is for real and not some training op, these people are holding rifles. I wonder how the kiss-asses on photo.net would rate a war picture from Iraq, as opposed to the boring sugarcoated PS still life bullshit that is offered here so excessively. Great capture.

While at the zoo, a butterfly stopped briefly on the sign pointing to
the "African Savannah" exhibit. I found it quite intriguing, the
interaction and contrast between "wild" and "free" animals. Please
critique.

I'd crop some of the empty foreground.

A Russian church built in late 19th century.

A candid shot of my friend taking a photo of the beautiful
landscape. He was completely unawares of my shot.
