Look closely at the cyan and yellow mechanisms, and compare them to the magenta. You should be able to see what's causing the problem.

Going to 4x5 is to enter the world of contemplative photography. Plus, a view camera will have more movements at the same time than the PC lens. The first time I looked at a 4x5 negative, I was sold.

If you don't want to open it up yourself, have the repair shop do it. Very often the information you need is printed on the capacitors, usually brand & part number.

Define quality. To me, taking 3,000 shots at a wedding, tossing out 2800 of them, and "fixing" the other 200 in photoshop isn't quality work. Taking 200 shots and delivering all of them with no photoshopping required is quality work. If you're taking 3000 shots at the church & reception combined, why not just video tape it & print single frames?

Get the 1600. It has variable output, so you can cut it back if you need to.

Calumet also ships.

I've developed a lot of Ilford XP-2 at home with no problems at all. I used a simple water bath for temperature control. The negatives printed just fine. I've never scanned the negatives - I use a wet darkroom exclusively - so I can't comment on scanning.

The plug goes on whatever inlet you're not using. The wire handle should be horizontal, and just barely clear the end of the drum. On my CPP-2, it barely clears.

Disregard the above link - it doesn't work. search Adorama for these SKU's.

I mix one quart of each at a time, and have done up to 10 rolls per quart with no degradation of results. I've kept the mixed chemicals up to a month without any problems. I've kept unused concentrates up to 6 months.

That's good to hear! I'm glad it wasn't anything serious.

Does the water pump and rotation motor run ok?
How about the temperature display; is is stable, or do the numbers jump all over the place?
It may be nothing more than a blown fuse, or it could be the heating element itself, or one of the PC boards. Download the manual from www.jobousadarkroom.com and read through the troubleshooting section. Information about the fuses is there. Hopefully, it's not a pc board, they're VERY expensive.

It could very well be the Stock B. Have you checked on Apug? www.apug.org Sandy King, the developer of Pyrocat hangs out there.

I use 2 strobes, White Lightning 800's, on the background. Assuming a 9ft wide paper background, I put one strobe on each side, just off the paper, and about 2 1/2ft from the background. They're angled so each strobe just lights the opposite edge of the BG. I use barndoors to keep light from spilling on the subject. The subject is about 2ft in front of the BG lights. BG lights are at full power, lighting on the subject is 1/2 power or less. I've had no problem with reflections onto the subject doing this.

I've used some EFKE PL100 & PL-25 in 4x5 size, and like it. I had no problems with it.

I built a dedicated darkroom in the basement 3 years ago. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it a lot sooner. This is an excellent time to build a darkroom, since enlargers and other equipment are really low priced.

Like some other posters said, I would re-shoot and get her more involved in creating what she wants. Personally, I would not charge for the re-shoot. If this is a client you value, do whatever it takes to make her happy.

Minolta film 7 and 800si
Minolta 5400hs flashes (2)
Minolta 35-70 F4
Minolta 28-135 F4/4.5
Tokina 20-35 F4
Never be without 2 bodies and 2 strobes.

Are you talking about an external battery pack for the flash? If so, look into Quantum. I use a Quantum Turbo with a 5400HS and Maxxum 7. It should work with the Sony badged 5600HS (D) as well.

Media Street is a manufacturer of 3rd party inks.

I'm looking for opinions on media Street inks & their bilk feed system from
anyone that uses them.
Thanks

Lately, my printer has had paper feed problems. It'll just feed a sheet
through and give me a media out or misloaded message. sometimes this will
happen 1 out of every 2 or 3 sheets.
Also, has anyone used the Media Street inks, and/or their Niagra bulk system?
I'm looking for opinions on their ink.
Thanks

After many years of 35mm, I got a 6x7 camera. I really liked it, especially the large negative. So, I decided to go larger & got a 4x5. The instant I saw the first negative come out of the fixer, I was hooked. I'm now seriously considering using the RB-67 as my small format camera.
