have to post pix that were taken in a west or north west direction. or with or without
wieners.
-
i like the way the pictures look like memories in the way that we remember them. almost a
painted feel to them. it's like looking inside your mind rather than looking at photographs.
very moving...
sorry for your loss.

"I would like to take photographs there, with the intention that the images may be posted on
my website later for licensing."
Depends what you mean by licensing. As Barry sez - if you want to unload 'em to stock
agencies you'll need an official release from the agency (ies) you plan to unload to and not
your own one. If to be sold direct to a client for commercial use, you're own release (if
written properly) will be fine.

well i lost a roll of film at knife point. gone for good. but when someone else insisted i
delete pix on my card, i just pulled 'em back with recovery software. film is risky - i've lost
loads of shots for a myriad of reasons.

kool find jamie... some shots are quite interesting...

nice one E, all looks good to me. think the speed is set just right too. good editing. since
the text is on another layer you could whack a command in there for it to lower in opactity or
disappear completey on 'mouse out'.. but is cool as is.

barry,
i'm using flash at night a lot these days. tried it on the subway too. best to use it at dusk
like in brads example. i wouldn't worry about pissing ppl off. again, like in brads example,
he's far enough away that the ppl in shot have no idea what he's taking pix of. if you get
right in someones face and pop a flash, it's a bit rude, otherwise ppl just tend to ignore you..
at least that's what i found.

well done. the old dear in the cafe is still my fav. aquarium is nice too. and #24.
-
i think i'll be around then... if you come to tokyo, we'll go shoot.
-
if the light is good, i'll shoot anything. i don't think about anything else. : )
-
i liked 'roadlines', 'orangewoman', 'mangrass', busshelter' and 'manwallstaring'... probably in
that order too... yeah, nice.
-
In short, No, i don't think so, Ray. You may still be able to recover the trashed file with some
recovery software, unless you use a Mac and used the 'secure empty trash' option.

it's all good. weird. wasn't working this morning and then it just starting working again,
suddenly. i guess my system needed to 'adjust' a bit... the last 'significant' thing i did before
it all started working again was build a graph of the directory using disk warrior. that's it, no
repairing.

If you do an 'archive and install' and experience problems with photoshop CS, check out this document. A few
have reported that it solved their problems.

Watch these pages too;

Photoshop CS and CS 2 not working. Opens RAW files for editing but when clicking 'open'
same error message everytime 'Could not complete your request because of a program error'.
Image ready is working.
Minolta Dimage Scan Utility not working.
Everything else is fine. Epson 2200, Illustrator and so on.
-
hmmm. poking around in a few forums over at adobe and the apple, it seems there is no
answer yet but a lot of people have the same problem. my elite5400 is out of whack now
too. haha.
-
CS was installed already before Tiger. But when it stopped working I re-installed several
times with the same message. CS2 was installed after installing Tiger.
-
Upgraded to OS 10.4 yesterday and PSCS is dead. Starts up. just doesn't open any files.
Same message everytime; "Could not complete your request because of a program error"
Right, very informative. So I tired Image Ready which opens files fine in Tiger. Re-
installed several times, trashed preferences files, repaired permissions, done all the tricks I
can think of. So, then downoaded the 30 day trial version of Photoshop CS2 from Adobe
and installed that on Tiger - got the excat same message when double clicking an image
or trying to open from the menu bar.
I was running 10.3.9 on a PowerMac G4, quicksliver 867mhz (firmware all up to date).
Also I installed PSCS of my old system (external harddrive) and it's working fine there. And
PSCS 2 works fine on my ibook (10.3.9). I've read some people are having the exact same
problem out there. Does anyone have a fix?
Cheers, steve.

john, what the others said. the nike slogan is for street photographers.
if you tip-toe around and be sneaky, people will sense it, become more suspicious and
then you're more likely to get your ass kicked. i know, sneaking around got my ass kicked
twice. one thing that worked for me at the beginning was convining myself that i wasn't
actually taking a picture of the subjects themselves. using a wide lens i told myself that i
was taking the whole scene and the main subject was actually 'in the way'. that kinda
polarised my attitude as to how i 'felt' about the subject. lock onto your subject, focus
and frame but 'think' background....

check out this guys' 'project 1' series. there's a couple of funny ones in there.

"May I ask what you were shooting before?"
jenna: i'm really a fashion and beauty photographer, tho' still do all kinds of other stuff.
thanks for your comments.
