  1. Dear mister M,(no name ?),

I consider your words: "that's at least 10 times braver than you. all you do is whining in

front of a computer screen, so far i can see.'" as a personal attack.

You don't know me,my life, and so on...how can you speak like that?

I don't pass my time in front of a comptuter screen, I'm an artist, a professional

photographer and a filmaker, my films beeing broadcasted in all Europe, and buyed by

museums like Center Pompidou in Paris.

It's my right to not appreciate the work and the life of this Miss Chapelle.

I don't know you , but i'm sure that you are a little person.

  2. Dear John,

in the Leica M7 brochure, from 2005 (not available yet...),they have exactly the

same words for describing the M7 as in page 38 of the new Leica M brochure, but they say

"the body is made of die-casted aluminium..."(and it's what Leica said since years for the

    other cameras, M4, M6...).

In a Leica press information they write also for the issue of the MP in 2003:" The main

body and housing consist of light-weight but robust diecast aluminum".

In fact they speake about magnesium now ONLY because the M8 body is made of

magnesium...for not being in rest... As i know since the issue of the M8, the M7 and MP

    don't change of weight...

  3. I'm asking about the alloy used in the bodies of the M7 and MP, not the top and bottom

    covers...

I know that for the body of the M8, Leica uses magnesium for the first time...and they

made some publicity around this fact, but it's a new technology (the die-casting of the

magnesium dates from a few years..), so do they use an alloy of aluminium for the M6,

    M7, MP bodies...?

  4. Does someone have used the Elcan 50 f/2, a four elements lens supplied for the US army

as the standard lens for the KE7A, military version of the M4 camera?

    What are the results?

Also very fascinating ,the 66mm/f2 or the 90mm/f1 !

    thank's for your answers.

  5. I own an MP. Can someone give me a definitive answer ? When the shutter IS NOT

COCKED,and i'm not on B/Off position, if i press the shutter release, is there any power

    consumption?

John Collier, testing this problem on a M6TTL (nemeng.com FAQ) said that even the

shutter wasn't cocked there is battery drain pressing on the shutter release.

thank's for your lights on this little question...
