Hi ken thanks your right in an idea world I might be inclined to crop more from the right but then the large rock on the right starts to look a bit tight on the right I think! If I was to do it again I would be a bit more deliberate poising them .

Thanks Cara, It's a rare thing to get two children to stand still for 1 second never mind 2 seconds :) and to get the right light and right moment it was one of the few time ive gotten goosebumps looking at the back of the camera...

Hi Tony,
Thanks you've confirmed one of my concerns I've another version which i've cropped more from the left like you have done in the version you reworked and posted (be it from a slightly different view point and a little later, on the night ), but this one it was the way that the sun was placed and the light streaming through the trees that i fell in love with and complety ignored the tight placement of the boats. I will for sure now that i see both versions side by side rework the crop on this one , Thanks a mill I really appreacate the time and effort you went to when I get constructive comments good or bad all appreacated , Best regards Mark

Hi Marcelo, Great shot , really well handled exposure , colours are spot on, tack sharp, you asked for an opinion on the compostion, well heres my 2 cents worth, you called the image three boats: IMHO its not quite 3 boats nor is it one boat, if you were to re shoot this i would suggest steping back and giving the boats some space to breath, or isolate a boat on its own but not so thight as you have cropped the bottom of the middle boat, you could more easly take a single boat as a Portrait get more forground and more sky/background ..(Landscapes don't have to shot as landscape) sometimes a vertical shot works better. but there's great detail in the shot and it worth another visit to reshot as its different view we normally see of Rio,
keep up the great work

Thanks Greg I've since posting this I've reworked the exposue on the children , the white balance is the way I perfer it as with the "correct" white balance I found it way to cold and the whole experience was a warm welcoming nostalgic one, thanks for the comments though appreciate you taking the time to view and comment.
