A lovely image indeed. You can crop an image a thousand ways  and i have done one. I don't claim it is better but it is just the way i see it as another possibility. Before I get to the crop, I find the front of the boat is a bit too close to the right edge of the image.

That being said, i cropped it because the left side of the image did not do much for me. In addition , the crop provides two land masses that are similar giving me a sense of balance and symmetry.  As i said, you can go from 0 to 1000 crops and this is just one which hopefully results in food for thought!

All the very best,

Hi Tony,

Thanks you've confirmed one of my concerns I've another version which i've cropped more from the left like you have done in the version you reworked and  posted (be it from a slightly different view point and a little later, on the night ), but this one it was the way that the sun was placed and the light streaming through  the trees that i fell in love with and complety ignored the tight placement of the boats. I will for sure now that i see both versions side by side rework the crop on this one , Thanks a mill I really appreacate the time and effort you went to when I get constructive comments good or bad all appreacated , Best regards Mark

I feel that Tony's crop kills the lead lines to the trees, and so the dynamics fizzle.  Perhaps another solution would be to darken the left side a tad.
