  1. I've done a little research on Richard Avedon recently, and I noticed

that on his contact sheets the film that was listed was called Kodak

Safety Film. My question is; What Kodak film has replaced this? Is it

possible to get the same quality from another Kodak film? What would

be the best film to use instead. This film doesn't still exist? It

can't its not listed anywhere! Thank you for your time and patience.

  2. I just recently purchased a arca/swiss "f" line field camera, and I

also have a gitzo 340 tripod. I would like to know where I can

purchase the "kirk leg support (ls-1)? Do they still make them? I

have had the tripod for awhile. It was passed down to me from an

uncle. I live in New York State, and I do a lot of outdoor

photography (Nature) in the hills upstate. I get a lot of camera

shake sometimes from looking at my negs. I would really like to get

my hands on one of those kirk leg supports. Thank you for your time

    and patience.

  3. What in your opinion would be the ideal lens to use for a full body

shot for fashion with clarity and no distortion? Which lens would you

use for yourself? I am aware that you can use a couple of them, but

which one(s)would be the standard for you?

  4. Next week Wednesday I have to shoot Board Members under fluorescent

lights. This will be the first time I am doing this. There will be a

group of ten or more people to shoot in a group setting. The room

where the photographs are to be taken has total fluorescent lighting

from the ceiling. Can you recommend the following.

    The type of color film.

    The films ISO.

The recommended Aperture. (from at least 10ft.)

Should I use a bounce card for my dedicated flash. (horseshoe mount)

    The shutter speed.

I never had to shoot in this enviroment before, so I need all the

advice and help I can get. This shoot is very important for future

work with these people. Thank you for your time and patience.

  5. I shoot a lot of 6x7 photographs, and I would like to move up to 4x5,

and even 8x10, but I have one problem which I hope you have the

patience to explain. I need to know what accessaries I would need to

get started, other than the ground glass. I would like to purchase

one by January of 05', can you please tell me all the things I would

need to purchase to get started photographing? This is all new to me,

I am already familiar with using a loupe for focusing a subject on

the ground glass. Everything else you are supposed to have to go with

the camera I am lost. I don't know if I am supposed to do this but my

    email address is Dkpphotography@aol.com
