how's canda and how's Zeina? i miss you all.

take care and hope to see you soon.

  2. Thanks Guys, just for the record, i never use photoshop because i don't like to fix my photos, the best thing for me is to get it right from the first time :)

To tell you the truth, i've never used filters before, i bought my canon EOS 30 3 months ago and didn't get time to buy some filters.

I also went to the desert once and took some photos, it was 3 in the after noon, that's why i think the resultts weren't that good. as you all said, it's better to go either after sunrise or before sunset.

Thanks agian and if any other tips you have please write them.

  3. Hey Guys, thanks for all your answers, they will be very useful.

1)I think the problem is with the lens, and the film, i'll take your advice and buy a 50mm lens, i think i'll save little more money and go directly for the 50 1.4 instead of the 1.8, the 1.4 is much better as i read in the reviews, i hope i'll get the sharpness i want. I also want to buy a 16-35 and a 70-200, unfortunately right now i can't afford these lenses because each one of the cost about 8 times the Canon EOS30 i'm using! :)

2)As for the film, yeah i think i should go for Fuji because i'm not satisfied with Kodak's films, and for using the Kodak 400UC, i don't think i'll be needing more than a 100, because right now i live in a very shiny and hot place (Dubai), so high speed film will not come in handy.

3)I used to live in Lebanon and never had a problem with the Fuji Lab i used to develop at, but here where i am now it've tried 4 different kodak labs but not satisfied with the results, i'll go for a new Fuji Lab i found hoping thier develoment is better.

4)I've never used a slide film before, i'm thinking of the Velvia, everyone's telling me tha it's good. but i have a question, can Slide films be printed or it's better to see them on a projector?

5)I normally use evaluative metering, can you guys give me any advices about trying other metering modes? Thank you again for all your comments.

    Moe.

  4. Thanks Rob, it helped alot. As for the lens, i'm using a canon EF 28-90 lens, but i'm not satisfied with the results of the camera in genreal. I've tried three differents photo labs already and none of them is giving me good prints. I think i'll go back to fuji and konika films, they are much better than Kodak's.

    Thanks again.

  5. I'm having some problems with my Canon EOS30 (Elan 7e), i'm not

getting any good results with the camera, in fact, i used to have a

full manual Zenith Camera and i used to take the best photos using

it. In the Canon, i'm recently using Kodak 100 and Kodak 200 Gold

films, but the results suck! Point and shoot cameras take better

photos than my Canon. Is it the film or the development of the

photos? Or is it just the camera? I would appreciate your answers,

thank you. I'll try to put a sample photo for you to see.

  6. Hey guys, can anyone help me on this? If i want to take photos of

the desert, what's the best aperture and shutter speed to make the

sands look so "orange" and the sky so blue. Thanks
