In order to use M series Beseler heads on a CB7 you need Beseler part# 8271. All the carriers and lensboards will work on the CB7. The CB7 alignment is much easier and precise. Go for it.

"Graphic" I would say you shoot in a graphic style. Your pictures are about shape and simplification. How's that? :)

Fotoman Camera Ltd. makes a helical focus mount for this lens. Contact them.

Come on boys. Don't you all realize it's the end product that counts, not how you get there!

I have both the glassless and the anti-newton glass 4x5 carriers and I find that you can't tell the difference unless you enlarge to 16x20
or greater. That's my opinion. The glass carriers are a PITA to keep clean.

Olden is still there, although not like they used to be. Remember the Saturday morning swap meets. Willoughby's is there in name only. I think they were bought out and they sell electronics, point and shoots and cell phones.

A reversed 50mm or shorter enlarging lens works even better.

Walt,
Your 45A is also an analyser. I use this colorhead, there is nothing like it. go to colorbat.com, they sell a DVD that gives you more info than you'll need. Good Luck.

The nova system has tubes that seal the slots. You keep the same cemistry in the Nova and after so many sq. inches of paper processed you replenish. I change out my chemistry every few months and clean the processor. It is actually pretty economical if you print often.

I have a 16x20 Nova, and love it. I've had it for the past 5 years. Before this I printed with drums and a roller base for 20 years. The drums become annoying to dry between prints. As far as inkjet prints are concerned. If I didn't have the darkroom, needed to buy everything from scratch and didn't have 25 years of color printing experience. I would go the computer/inkjet printer route. I would however argue that inkjet prints are better than a C print I can produce. They are just another way to go and have a shorter learning curve for someone who never printed color before.
