Bob,
I hope I am not getting my wires crossed but I thought the CF is totally different from the C. I had a CF, the new toyo carbon fibre model folding field camera, and used a Schneider 72SAXL on it. It was okay as long as I didnt want any movements and did not want to focus too close up. In close up situations there was not sufficient stability for the large lens, especially inwindy conditions. I sold it and purchased an Ebony 45SU and have not had those problems since.
I am sure the other folding Toyo's would also be more stable: the AX Aii etc. as would a DCL 45, Horseman FD, FA etc.
Regards, Mark

Hi all, Sorry for another ball head question but I see manfrotto have
released a new product
http://www.bogenimaging.us/product_temp/templates/templates.php3?
sectionid=8&itemid=1958 and am wondering if this would be suitable
for my ebony 45SU for field work. I have a Gitzo 1327 tripod. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated.
I did look at archives but the only reference to this head is about
35mm equipment.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hi,
I had recessed lens board with 72saxl on the CF and it just worked without any movements A(well absolutely minimal movements).
The ebony 45SU I have will work with your 65. In fact, many of the ebony's would be okay with taht lens. Check out their web site.
REgards,
Mark
