If Landscape is the main thing that you do, go medium format. There is so much more fine details that can be captured in 120 film. I used a bronica etrsi with the 40mm for about 6 mths before getting a Mamiya 7ii with the 43mm. The bigger the negative, the better. I would use a 5x4 if I would carry it around and not take 1 hr to setup for a shot. The pain is getting quality scan.
Cheers

sorry..it's not viewable. But this is a cropped portion of the ship in the distant. About 300% crop. It doesn't look all that great, but the original scan wasn't an extremely high res scan. but something like that would be hard for 35mm based sensor/film to do.
The slide looks fantastic on a lightbox

This is the scanned 645 slide from a flextight 949 at viewable (or so I hope) res

I think now is the best time to buy MF stuff.
Picked up Bronica ETRSi kit for peanuts. Recently bought a Mamiya 7ii with 43mm and 80mm at a good price and I am really enjoying 6x7 slides. digital is good but when it comes to landscape stuff or when you really need fine detail, you need bigger sensor/negative.
I'm gonna try to post a pic. In the pic, I can read "Spirit of Tasmania" on the ship in distant with a 8x loupe on my slide

While they are at it, they better gimme continuous video too.
The Fuji S3 pro also gave live feed in b/w.

I think the question should not be "When Nikon will make a FF DSLR?" but rather "Who will make a FF sensor at an afordable cost?" Nikon doesn't make sensors. When someone does we will start seeing FF DSLRs.

"If they don't come up with a new screen, I guess I'll have to make it myself."
Ilkka, you might even make a fortune.

Because I was told by the rep that it does.

I have handled a pre-prod sample of the D200 late last week and boy
was it good. I work in a camera store and the rep came in with a
D200. Was I rap ! I wasn't allowed to put a CF card into it but the
camera was able to store and review images on the LCD.
I don't know if I am allowed to say too much, but the camera handles
very well, much like an F100. It might handle like an F6, but I have
not handled an F6 before so I can't comment on it. One thing I can
comment on: There will be less jobs for moderators on silly threads
about viewfinders. The viewfinder on the D200 is really good. It is
at least as good as the one on the D2X. I did not get teh chance to
compare them side by side, but after I used the D200 I looked through
the one on the D2X, the D200 viewfnder seemed a little bigger. but i
might be wrong.
I used the camera in moderate lighting with the 18-200 VR. Lens focus
fast, but I had not time nor means to test the VR. Frame rate much
like the 20D, mirror slap is not as sloppy as the F80, but not as
strong and heavy as the D2H.
In a nutshell: "Gentlemen/Ladies, Start saving your pennies"

I can't seem to find any information on the difference between the
series of GW690. I am looking at purchasing one. Can anyone tell me
what the difference is and wat I should be looking for if it was 2nd

Most people are easily impressed. Have enough ads and posters and people will think that you make the best products.
Besides. It's nikon's money. Let them spend it anyway they like. The amount of money spend on the site isn't gonna put a good viewfinder on the D70 or D50.

Why sell any of them? You'll get only peanuts for them. I'll rather hang on to them.

Stop thinking and buy something

I have tried various Sigma, tokina and Tamron lenses. While they are good value for money, I never seem to be happy with any of them, especially wide angle lenses. They never seem to be as sharp as Nikkors. I am not too fuss about build quality, as long as they can give me the sharpness I crave at a price that I can afford. I have the luxury of being able to try lotsa lenses. At the end of the day, the conclusion is always, save money and get a nikkor.
Tamron macro lenses are highly recommended.
Alternatively, just print 6x4 inches. everything looks good.

I had a Silver F3T and the way that you could tell that the back was ttanium is the area where u put the cardboard for the film box to remnd yourself of the film u use. It should be silver too.
*Sadly, it got stolen :(

Thanks for your answers guys! The conclusion is due to the viewfinder...gotta get myself a de-2 or 3 and dw-4 then.
thanks

I have been using a F3 with a DA-2 and I most of my shots seems to be
really under exposed. I am using Tri-x 400 rated at 200 and I have
been using the 85mm f1.8.
I use T-Max 1:4 develop for 6 min at 17C
I was wondering if light coming from the DA-2 would be affecting the
light meter in the camera.
Thanks

One of the problem with the lens is the 82mm filter thread. It is a problem for many people including me.
-
Please dun remind me of my 2 F3 that were stolen just a few days ago.
F3/T and F3P...sob...sob...

The Hoya Ultra Multi-coated Super slim ring UV-Pol is a good filter to look try. I have tried it on the 17-35 wihtout vignetting
-
I think I can live with the viewfinder and CAM900, but I can't live with the buffer of 1 fps when U turn on dynamic range.
-
I am quite a big fan of the E-1. It has great weather seals, (tested it under running tap and dunked in water), good auto focus and has really well dampered mirror. 300mm f/2.8 (gives U 600mm f/2.8) that is affordable (compared to nikkor or canon). Even the 50-200 (100-400) is a great lens at a good price.
What I do not like is the smaller 4/3 sensor. at 5 mp, the E-1 isn't too noisy. the E-300 is a bit more noisy. depth of field is a bit of a concern especially if you like to do portraits at the 28-70mm focal length. They have new lenses, one of which gives 28-70 f/2. At long telephoto range, the E-1 kicks a$$

The sigma 20mm f/1.8 has front element of 82mm
kindda makes it expensive to get filters. likely to have problem with vignetting on full frame, but could be alright with APS sized sensors
Had to go Canon for 500 or 600mm

Nikon has a 200-400 AFS with VR that canon doesn't. Now thats an awesome glass. might not be long enough, but it has some flexibility. But then again there is the 1200mm Canon......it's about the weight of a 85mm recoiless rifle...happy shooting.
