The Holocaust Memorial ? I'm tempted to say that she doesn't fit in with the theme (but I couldn't myself either while there). Otherwise, I like it.
  1. I was not going to say anything, as the exposure date was over a year ago. But his expression is just too much ... "Look at this thing behind me ... not that cool, really. At least not as cool as my HAT ! ;-D"

    Thanks for posting this.

I like the different tones -- the leaves, the darker water, the tree in the left, ... .

It seems like a lot of effort's been put into a lot of different details.

    Cheers!

Hi, just wanted to give another opinion on the b/w case.

I think the yellow leaves and the girl's scarf make two great reasons for keeping the color. Although it would still be a great portrait, color or not.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Bogdan

Your hand position seems interesting. Also I had some trouble accepting the position of the building in the middle.

Maybe not at all what you were going for (and this remark sounds silly to me after reading it) but this photo seemed to be all about ... positions :-) for me.

Great job with this ! Although it looks a bit like the dog was holding the camera.

    @Gary: You do mean 'hated' ... right ? :D

  2. Is this somewhere on Earth ? (hey, I had to choose between other remarks such as 'how long did it take to arrange the clouds like that ?')

You captured something clearly different from other landscapes posted on photo.net, this is really drool-worthy.

If those are glasses, I'd vote them away (but, disclaimer: looking at my photos, you can tell I'm not too involved in photography). Other than that, I'm tempted to mirror the picture. Nice.

If your dog's nose leaves a wet mark on my display I'm not gonna appreciate it. Otherwise, I'm having a hard time getting rid of the grinch :D

Now this is what some of my attempts should have come out like. The subject seems really fit for this kind of filter usage.

Except for the (maybe) a bit careless usage of scissors on the wrist (and the fact that this doesn't scale too well to 1280x1024 :D), I think it's awesome.

I wish there were more photos like this one on photo.net
