  1. I want to make some prints on a transparent material ("mylar"

probably) and was wondering if liquid light would work on a glossy

surface. Also where can I get it and is there a special developer

    needed for it..?

    Thanks for the advice... Tania

  2. I got some great advice to my earlier question about the 100mm

macro... but after reading your comments and doing a bit of reaserch

I got a final question... between the 100mm-2.0 and the 85mm-1.8

which would be a better choice for indoor and outdoor portraits as

far as a fast and sharp lens would go. The other lens I was

recommended, the 135mm sounds wonderfull but a bit out of my price

    range for now.

All your advice is greatly appreciated as always.

    Tania

  3. I just got a Nikon F as a present from a friend but it has been

neglected for a while and it is a bit dirty. I want to have it

cleaned up and check to see if it needs any repair. Can anyone

recommend a good place to take it to? Where I live there are no

good repair places so I would have to send it out to a reliable -

trust worthy place maybe in New York or wherever.

Also I am not very familiar with the Nikons being a Canon user, is

there any website were I can get the basic tech info on the Nikon F?

    Thanks

  4. Hi everybody... I got a few EOS lenses: 50mm/1.4; 24mm/2.8; 28-

105/3.5-4.5. I was thinking of adding a 100mm for portraits and

other uses and saw that there is a 100 Macro and a 100 regular so I

was hoping someone could tell me if the 100 Macro would be good to do

portraits as well as macro work? I know the macro is a bit more

expensive so before buying it I want to know if it will do the job...

Also if there is another lens beside the 100mm that anyone thinks

might be a good purshase for portraits and street work please let me

    know...

    Thanks

  5. I use mainly available light in my work but sometimes as everybody

knows it is not enough. I have a Vivitar flash which I barely use

because I find it gives that flat look to the photo even though I've

use it tilted and with a diffuser. I am not interested in using the

big strobes and complicated set ups... I would mostly like to have a

good flash (side mount or whichever) that will keep a natural look.

Can anyone suggest some good equipment to start out, oh and by the

way I can spend up to $600.

  6. I currently own an ELAN 7 which has work very well but was thinking

of getting another camera body and perhaps the EOS 3 might be right?

Can anyone tell me what are the major differences between the ELAN 7-

EOS 3 and if I should maybe invest in an EOS 1 instead? I have read

that the EOS 3 is very noisy, is that true?

    Thanks for the advice

  7. I am looking to buy a Nikon manual focus camera, can someone

recommend one? I've been looking into the F3HP and F2 but can't

decide...which one would be a durable body with an excellent metering

system? Also, if it isn't too much trouble what lens should I get?

    Thanks for your help!
