  1. No, of course not. A good photo speaks for itself, if you have to have a trained eye to notice "subtle qualities" that make a photo "good", then maybe the photo isn't so good. The whole point of a photo is that you are trying to convey something to the viewer, if the viewer has to know what they are looking for, it doesn't make much sense. Furthermore, a critique is an opinion of a group, and if you are going to be selective with that group, then it is not a very thorough critique.
  2. I am looking at buying a Canon eos 10s or eos 620 used. I like Canon

    except for their lack of compatability with their own older MF

    lenses. I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, that older Nikon

    MF/manual exposure glass will work on their newer cameras, and I'm

    wondering what the Nikon equivalents of the Canon cameras I named

    above are, and how much I can expect them to go for on the used

    market.
