Well developed, but the picture doesn't capture a story. This was not a crucial moment for them. *pause* Having just read your crit request, I must say that this is a very good photo, given the circumstances. But this is a photojournalism picture, and that still means that it's Good when you can see the before and after around the moment you capture.

pan for motion blur? Very nice.

I like it, but if you're not going to crop, everything needs to tie together. Maybe if the very bottom had more detail, so that the table visually curved around the glass, Personally, I would crop it to just the glass

Poorly cropped, badly lit, stilted composition. Try cutting off the right side at the armrest, the top of the chair. The arm is distracting. I mean, hey, it's an adorable expression, but the *photo* is bad.

I like the colors, and the style, but it's not particularly impressive for it's work. Are you trying to be chaotic or controlled?

Wondering if there is any detail at all that could be pulled from the fore or background.

Actually, I must have wasted three dozen test strips trying to get the face to look like that.

As you'll soon learn from the future of my photos, I am obsessed with

the female neck and collarbone.

Light halo a major distraction, should have burned that in.

Higher angle would have improved compositional line elements.

Some extremely minor issues with spot touching. This was my first

attempt at that process.

I'm sort of surprised by how contrasty this is. On the one hand, it's

not contrasty enough. On the other, it's simply perfect.

I really like this style. I'd like to know whatI could do would

increase your choice of aesthetics rating.

of macrophotography.

Badly damaged during dry mounting. Some image editing done to try to

alleviate the damage because I'm anxious for feedback, and won't have

access to a darkroom until I finish rebuilding mine. I will eventually

post a cleaner copy.

I find the image slightly unbalanced due to the cross-like element near her right hand. Otherwise a nice composition and enjoyable use of a monochromatic color palette.
