The photo was taken in London after the boy came to UK to undergo facial surgery. Of course it is not manipulation. I was helping the charity who helped him called Facing The World.

I was recently in Moldova photographing for charity and met this lady

who showed me her Pumpkin. I liked this.

I like this but possibly too much blur in the foreground

I am always interested to see how the members of Photo.net rate my

photos. This is an interesting one and has been selected in several

competions and is currently a selected entry in the Taylor Wessing

Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, London.

I like this a lot.

I wish he was nearer and more aware of the photo. For me this is a snapshot not a portrait

He was born with physical and mental disabilites caused by the legacy

of the Union Carbide Factory in Bhopal. However when I photographed

him I felt he had real presence.

Nice lighting. Like Paolo Pellegrin. It would look good in black and white

Good try but slightly too close for my liking and too tight a crop. Perhaps a longer lens might be better

I like this but then if you look at my work you will know why. I would also like to see it in colour. If I was to criticise which is hard I might say his mouth looks slightly uncomfortable

Colour

This works for me the best of your portraits to which you have applied a photoshop technique. The others feel more artificial whereas this does not.
