Thank you for the kind comment about this shot. Well you can do some nice macro without a dedicated maco lens, BUT there are other things you have to consider and manage like lighting, technique for supporting the camera and finally having some kind of a vision when you blend the colors of the insect with the background colors. I use a decent bogen manfrotto tripod and a sturdy ball head as well, i use flashes but off camera of course with bounced lighting. Also you have to know that i shoot those insects at home, i bring them where i can control the setup of everything; like setting up a miniature studio but one with only a few centimeters in dimensions. I dont want to bore you with a lot of details, but once again thanks for your kind words and glad that u liked the shot, my dearest regards,RK! -
