Great light and perfect composition that's what makes this photo stand out. This moment and it's ethereal ingredients would be lost in time without Brad's master photographer eye. I like it very much.
Why don't you try to follow this floral theme and make it into a series?

The blur and infrared is to recapture the magic of this old willows.
Does this unsharpness suits it well ? Thanks. Marek

After decades of yearly mutilation even a Willow can go crazy or ...
can become beautiful ? Thanks.

Nocturne. Done on a sad occasion; a nostalgic photo of a day that
passes, never to return.

A photograph to remain a photograph cannot by altered too much. If
you cross the line you may achieve interesting results yet what you
have is some graphic picture, not a photo any more. Even with simple
chemical/analog manipulation with contrast you can go too far. But
where is this line I ask ?

As Henri Amiel wrote, 'A man must be able to disengage what is
essential from the detail in which it is enwrapped, for everything
cannot be equally considered.' Doesn't this summarize what the
black&white photography is all about ? To disengage basic forms,
light and shadows from the chaotic details and colors and to enhance
and expose the basic ingredients of a moment. Thanks.

my favorite photo in your folder, thanks.

It not vertical, its hazy, the tonal range - poor, colors - sickly,
yeah, exactly as intended. Background: Saint Cross Monastery in
central Poland and the mystery of Life. These are not compatible with
the postcard aesthetic that rules here among the photorabble. Sorry.
