I like to scan b&w negs in "true color" - the scanner gives them a warm sepia to orange
tone, which can be controlled by changing the selection area and allowing the scanner
software to adjust exposure & color. See <a href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/

Everything except some of the Switzerland photos and the first folder were done by this
method. Then you can play with the toning in PS.

Yeah. Me too. Many times I find myself giving low ratings to photos even though "technically" there's nothing wrong with them - they are just boring and completely unoriginal. But I would like some way to express the fact that the technique is fine - it's the imagination/originality that's lacking.

Oh, so THAT's what's happening! I thought I was going crazy. At first I thought it was
because at work I use a PC and at home I use a Mac, but when it seemed to be switching
randomly I was utterly confused. Thanks for clearing that up, and the tip!
