This shot was taken with me holding my 50mm lens the other way
round!!!! I can't afford a macro lens so i reversed my standard lens
and held it up against the body to magnify the image. Not bad I
think...

Since I am unable to afford a propper macro lens/bellows, I
improvised by removing my lens and reversing it. This isn't as
surgical as it sounds. First, to meter the shot, I had to view it
with the lense correctly attached. Once metered, I had to HOLD the
lens up against the camera body and focus the shot. And presto. It
turned out rather well - I think...

A moment later when the bird was facing the camera would have made the shot... Nice colours though
