    Mesa Arch

I don't know, but it appears that the underside of the arch is not illuminated by direct sunlight. Instead, it appears that sunlight bounced off something to illuminate the under side of the arch. Was that light reflected from rocks in the area, or were portable reflectors used instead? Or perhaps even a portable flash unit and a deep orange gel was used to light up the underside of the arch? Clue me in, please. In my opinion, it is a great shot, no matter what techniques were used.

This is an excellent photo from all aspects, and I think a lot of people will be taking home a limited edtition lithograph of this puppy! One sign that this image is great is the shear number of strong responses on this forum. All that remains now is to get it translated as artfully as possible into press CMYK color space. If you don't already know a trusted expert, I recommend you consult Dwane Elmore of Elmore Graphics: DLELMORE@aol.com

I think this has considerable class and many nice elemets, and I like the sense of space and depth it is able to confer. Is the horizon tilted just a little?

The limited depth of field, the unususal reflections, and the color conttrast team up here to make this image very special. How much of the effect was done achieved in an editing program?

This is a totally splendid example of fine art in photography. Decades ago, my father made a few simple B&W photos using painted light, so I think I can imagine the enormous amount of effort required to produce this image. All I can say is thank you for sharing your vision and inspiration.

This is a great photo for commercial art. It attracts and keeps my attention without giving me that "hit between the eyes" feeling. My rating for it is also an 8 and an 8.

Marvelous composition and color, I gave it a seven. Atmospheric haze obscures detail at a distance. I think if this image could be cropped down from the top a small amount, it would be even more impressive.

Your compostion shows several significant details of the bike, and more significantly it presents an excellent sense of depth and dimensionality.

The weather for this photo is too foggy and overcast for my taste. Also, the foreground seems too busy and distracts from the unity of the composition.
