Nice setting. How would I have changed this shot? I would have gotten lower. Then I would have eliminated most of the sky. The foreground is the real interest along with the people. The sky adds nothing. Scroll so that you emiminate most of the sky on your computer screen, and you'll see this effect. Thirdly, if you would have pointed the camera "down" more, then you would have more foreground. I think that would help. Lastly, be sure to have a straight horizon. Yours is tilted some.

It's a great scene. You could crop your original to make it stronger. I really like the diagonal going across the beach. It's a great leading line that points to the people.

I like the balance of foreground and sky, and about everything else, exactly the way it is....so don't mess with success. But was the sky really that color?

I would also try to crop-out more of the sky, as the ground is definately more interesting than the sky in this shot. Anyway nice work.

Thanks for the helpful comments. The sky was really that color. Editing in PhotoShop just consisted of cropping, sharpening, and minor level adjustments.

I would have to agree with John on the cropping. I'd crop out all of the sky except a small part. Then it will make more of a square photo which I like a lot (since I'm an apostle of the temple of TLR and square format :-). Other than that, I like your composition and the ground as it is.
