A few years ago I wrote about photographing Ding Darling on my site. This may or may not help you, but figured I'd let you decide.

Personally, I love working in the entire region -- Ding Darling, the Everglades, and Big Cypress.

Best of luck,
John pretty much covered the synopsis. Not much I can add, other than if you want more info on the Cape Cod lighthouses.

You could check out the Sandwich area, too. There are some great coastal shots, dunes, cottages abandoned out-of-season, and a great, long catwalk over a marsh. It's a very quaint area.

Have a great trip. And we can't stress enough: bring a very warm jacket, and note on your map every place you see a coffee shop ... you'll want to know later.

If you're interested, I have a short article on my website about some photo spots Tuscon.

Have a great trip.

I have articles on my site about Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve, both of which are great locations for doing nature photography. If you have specific questions about either, feel free to drop me a line.

Another one if you don't mind driving is Grampians National Park, which is a few hours away from Melbourne via the Great Western Highway. Lots of wildlife, mountain landscapes and gum tree forests.

Have a great time.

Hi, Paul.

Maine is a great place to go as a photographer, especially in October. You're either not going to want to come home, or you'll feel compelled to go back to Maine as soon as possible. But be prepared for two sets of clothes every day ... it can be warm during the day and then pretty cold at night.

I have two articles on my website about photography locations in Maine, if you want to check them out: one's on Acadia National Park, the other's about the town of Rockland.

Have a great time.
