Gossen meters can be repaired/recalibrated at Bogen Imaging in New Jersey
-
My gossen luna-pro digital f got dropped on cement and is totalled (aak!) any sources for domestic
repair?
-
I use my 40mm Summicron C with my M6 all the time. I did the simple filing of the
rangefinder cam so it indexes the proper 35mm frameline. Seach photo.net for instructions
on how to do this or see your favorite service person.
-
Whew...that's 1940 production, 2d year the lens was out. the earliest I've ever seen!
-
serial number for the lens? with the f2.2 stop, that is a very early Summitar...
-
I have a serenar 100mm and it behaves absolutely like any other screw mount lens. If other
lenses focus correctly then the serenar is suspect.
-
there was an article and a portfolio of images in Leica World some time back done with the
O...superb images and a good article on using it.

Get the 3v lithiums...I've used them all day in minus 10F temps. relatively impervious to cold.
-
DAG has new 40mm rubber lens shades...
-
as an LHSA member (and contribuitor to the magazine) I'd think you'd be interested in some
comments from people that actually use the camera...
-
the shutter speed sequence goes off at 1/50th of a second...the older camera didn't have the
1/50th speed...so you'd have to take a manual reading and convert it...
-
Leica Gallery for sure, and MOMA's photographic department..
-
the baseplate can't be to difficult to come up with...try Don Goldberg's web site.
-
I have a III, IIIa, and a IIIb...the III has engraving just like yours, the later ones have the DRP
under the Leica script...
-
see you there! will wright

I have a 2.8C, the last of the unmetered Rolleis. It's terrific. Super sharp and the negs scan
beautifully. It's a wonderful machine.
-
Talk to DAG...he''s done may conversion of this type.
-
practice, practice, practice
-
you can buy them from Calumet..
-
yes you can, but you'll lose your nice no flare finder in the M4
-
OUBIO or 16466 adapter is for that purpose...they used to be quite common.

there's a way to adjust the position of the "dot" on the lens. it involves removing the 4
screws on the back and under the plate there is a way to move the holes. There is a written
procedure somewhere on this, maybe VC's website. I did it on mine.

what you're seeing is the first results of Leica hiring Chiat-Day as an advertising agency. C-D
is most know for the Nike ads...the ads are appearing as you note in some very high end
magazines. That's probably the first time back in the Geographic since the 50's.

Erhardt told us at the October LHSA meeting in San francisco most of these matters. He said
all the M lenses would work as normal. and they planned some new wide lenses (a 21?) to
handle the wide ends of things. the new lenses would also work on the film M's. The LHSA is
having its '06 meeting at Solms and Leica is running a "Leica akademie" for the attendees. we
heard this week that they will be using the digi M in the classes! so the thing exists. Only
20 openings for the akademie but still some vacancies. You could still join and go.
