Thanks D, Old news for me, but i'm sure Harvey and that other
geezer will find something to complain about....

Geeeezzz this place never ceases to amaze me. A fellow
photographer passes you a link to beautiful work of other
photographers and he is accused of low standards. I think
Harvey's been watching too much Coronation Street.
Darkies??? Where are you coming from? Is this some kind of
midcentury colonialism with stiff upper lip chappies website?
And to critisize how a photographer would want a viewer to look
at his work? That is how its done. That is how any photographer
would plan for his work to be seen, in a sequence, a story.
He is the boss. He sets the tone. Not you. You are just a viewer.
PS. Derek, It's a great website magazine. I'll keep it in my
favorites.

Well Patrick, I don't know if I should thank you for that link or what
Definately not for the faint of heart. To think that that goes on in
the world makes me want to vomit but, I guess I shouldn't be that
naive. God help us but, I suppose God has got nothing to do
with it. And I thought I was having a bad day. Powerful.

Mr West,
Very refreshing. You could almost hear a pin drop with the first
few photos (bride getting dressed). It is nice to see a
non-western wedding. I would like to see more, maybe of the
ceremony. I bet it was a great experience for you coming from
fashion where everything is so, so set up and contrived. Keep
up the good work.

Hi Travis,
The FM3A is a fine piece of gear. Good for travel (light weight)
nice match needle metering, works W/O batteries. Hot shoe on
the pentaprism. The only draw back is 93% frame coverage, not
that big a problem but sill.
As for toughness, it is about as tough as you are.
So, if you want a boy's camera go for the FM3A.
If you want a man's camera, go for the F3P
100% frame coverage, hot shoe on the pentaprism, better seals.
You do lose a few extras though, like no self timer or multiple
exposures. Do a google search, I'm sure you'll find something.
Lenses: I can vouch for two; the 28mm F2.8AIS the ais has the
CRC System (close range correction). Outstanding lens. The
black & white tonality is just breathtaking, sharp to the corners.
Lens hood HN-1. The other Nikkor lens is the 105mm 2.5. I've
had two of these, one was a AIS, (sold it). The one I have now is
of Vietnam vintage 60's which has the metal barrel and I believe
less coatings on the optics. I love this lens. A little bit lower
contrast in black & white but, easy to fix in photoshop and, a little
cooler for color chromes.
Best, Richard

First of all, sorry about the typo. Secondly, Crackers - you are
losing me a bit. It was a bad week. The protesters were young,
idealistic kids who got beat up by bullies who totally disrepected
them and what they came to protest for: jobs and human rights
throughout the western hemisphere, etc. The picture you are
showing is hard to look at. If that was my daughter I would be
upset to say the least. Did you take that photo or did you pull it
from somewhere else? If you did not take the shot, and pulled it
from somewhere else.....that's not good. You have to respect
other peoples work who may not want it on here. I am a
documentary photographer. I just document what I see in the
best possible way as I see it....the lighting, the film, the
exposure...I just experiment. Sometimes I think I should not put
anything on the Leica forum as it just rocks the boat too much.
Best, Richard
