The white wing draws too much of my attention.

While living in Santa Barbara, I always thought these steps at Paseo Nuevo would make for a cool shot, but never had my camera with me at the right moment. Interesting to see that you had the same idea.

I think I probably used the same ledge as you to shoot this bath in the Alcazar. There's a slightly different version in my folder, if you're interested. I thought this spot was awesome--nice and cool, few people.

This is a slightly altered repost. Comments appreciated!

Interesting texture, but the colors seem a bit weak.
-
I really like the composition, but something about the levels seems artificial, too contrasty, burned-in.
-
Nice panorama, but it could use some color correction.

A fascinating exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New
York. Comments appreciated.

I don't know--a little unsettling. The composition is so symmetrical that it makes the slightly off-center framing seem odd.

Yeah, great idea, but I agree that the apple should be in sharper focus.

Pretty hard to tell what it is without glancing at the title.

Beautiful colors, fairly sharp focus. Too bad the top got cut off.
-
Nice colors and DOF, but you might consider cropping differently. Get that sucker out of the middle.
-
Not sure I agree. Yes, the highlights are blown out. But it seems somehow appropriate--the shot has an almost painted feel. I'll take it as is, thank you.

Great silhouette, good monochromatic color. If it were me, I might crop just a hair off the left to get rid of the curve in the railing. Just my feeling.
-
Interesting composition, could use a little color correction, though.
-
I like the multi-tiered effect. Could maybe use a tiny bit more contrast.
-
Nice colors, but the sun and reflection right in the middle make the composition pretty static.

Hey, Jeremy. That reflection is totally sweet, very original (trust me, I've looked at a lot of sunset pictures on Photo.net). I wonder if there's a way to crop it that accentuates the reflection. Thinking about it, I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, it seems a shame to lose the clouds toward the top of the frame, especially with the nice blue tones. On the other hand, a lower crop calls attention to the reflection by giving it a greater percentage of frame space. It has the added advantage of moving the horizon away from the center of the frame, making the composition more dynamic. You should request a critique of this. I'd be interested to see what people have to say.

Well there's something you don't see every day.

Nice capture, but I think the head of the bee wants a little more focus.
-
Nice diffused lighting.

Hmm, just too much saturation.
