At the Aquarium of the Pacific. Their jellyfish exhibit is

Ok, I'll inveigh against the low ratings on behalf of my own shot. I have to say that I like this picture a lot. I was impressed by the diversity of the landscape, and I liked that it could be captured in this interesting, vertically layered way. I like that the line of the sand breaks the symmetry up a little bit on the right side. I like the discreet bands of color. Does anyone else get frustrated by low originality ratings on pictures they put a lot of thought into? A "3" for originality says to me, "You just shot from the hip without giving any consideration to line, color, texture, exposure, interest, or anything else." Does that seem to be what I've done here?

Well, that's kind of the point--the vertical layers emphasized over the details of each individual section.

Lucy, thanks for your comment. We heard this little guy croaking in my friend's backyard--he's growing some mandrakes in an open tank which often attracts these frogs. I had to stick my camera down in the tank to get these, so I had no access to the viewfinder--it was trial and error/autofocus all the way. It was pitch dark, so I used a little flashlight to give the autofocus some help. I took about 20--this was one of only a couple that were decently in focus and well exposed.
