Kim/Jason,
Thank you for your kind words (appreciate them coming from photographers with portfolios such as yours).
Kim, the original shot was not as tightly crop - I go through moods where sometimes I like tight (sometimes extreme) crops. In this case, I'm on the fence although still leaning towards the tight crop.
Jason, I'm assuming the cats in your portfolio are yours? Do they like having the water turned on while in the sink - or just being typical cats and daring you to make them move?

Monarch butterflies passing through Cape May, NJ on migratory path to
Mexico from Canada. Ended as bad allergy day due to goldenrod.
Comments/suggestions appreciated.

Cape May, New Jersey is on the migratory path of the Monarch
butterfly as it flies from Canada to Mexico each fall. Any
comments/suggestions appreciated.

Cape May Point Lighthouse (New Jersey) near sundown in early October.
Any comments welcome and appreciated.

Not sure the name of the bird, but his stillness and the way he just
stares is really unnerving... Taken from car in the rain... Any
comments/thoughs appreciated... Thanks

This burnt out chair on the beach between Ocean Grove and Asbury
Park, New Jersey (USA) poignantly illustrates the rough road still
ahead in the revitalization of this once thriving beach resort. (The
historic Asbury Park Casino in the background is being partially
demolished prior to restoration to its former glory.)
Any comments/suggestions on photo welcome. Thanks in advance.

The often photographed Asbury Park Casino as in it's partially
demolished state - Wanted a slightly different take on this often
photographed site. Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions...
FYI, not exactly sure what critique category this should go in since
it isn't straith architectural, now is it a landscape or exactly
documentary/street/travel...

I thought this shows a seldom seen side of today's (and yesterday's)
rock artists.
Thanks for your thoughtful critiques...

Mick Fleetwood with his "Talking Drum" shot at ISO 3200 equivalent on

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Cold winter's day (not many of them this year yet) in Sandy Hook, NJ.
Trying to capture the feel of isolation of this row of deserted
houses along water's edge (if you look closely, you can see a Navy
ship between the center houses)...
-
Another in the attempt at capturing the foggy isolation of a chlly
day. Any constructive thoughts appreciated... Thanks.

This one was my favorite, any constructive criticisms that could have
helped improve? Thanks

First attempt at foggy day pics...

Taken at Fort Hancock (retired) on Sandy Hook, NJ on a foggy, dreary
day. Attempt at capturing the atmosphere in the rundown, virtually
deserted location.

The once grand Asbury Park Casino (taken from the south in Ocean
Grove) is falling apart as the rest of the town is being redeveloped.

Ponce Inlet Lighthouse from the observation deck in the nature refuge
between the lighthouse and the beach at inlet.

Mid-summer, Florida storm rolling in towards Ponce Inlet...

Pelican drying in Ponce Inlet, Florida - prefer shooting the blue-
eyed ones, but this guy was the only one hanging about in the mid-
summer heat...

Don't know which would be harder, getting out of the chains and
bindings, or hanging upside down by the ankles in 98 degree Florida
humidity.

One of those moments when it's the right place at the right time. Got
off three quick shots with quick "hope this is right" settings before
the sun rays faded away.

Experimenting in underground coal mine with the "H" setting on Canon
20D (handheld at 28mm, f/3.5, 1/50sec, no flash) when noticed these
kids' fascination with the tour's details. Comments/suggestions?
