  1. @andrew piotrowski : there is only one way, you have to wait outside, in coldness and solitude so long as the queen aurora offers you the grace to show her mesmerizing beauty and harmony.
  2. @rehab aloyni : it was in the middle of the night. and it was cold, the water was beginning to freeze. the tidal current in the fjord has come to rest for that moment. kind regards, anne

  11. hi larry, i aways encourage people to visit greenland as long as the glaciers calve into the arctic sea and you can see these magnificent huge icebergs drifting. to me the arctic is one of the most beautiful places of the world, anne
  12. thank you, larry for your interest, your work with the picture and your book recommendation. i love to read icelandic literature and i have read some of yrsa sigurdardottirs thrillers, but not yet "the day is dark". - i love the arctic, and i love the symphony of blue colors there . . . . this capture shows a blue and white (sea fog) day - the only colorful spot was the boat. i like the photo the way it is . . . it`s a true arctic impression; therefore i would not eliminate the blue cast. you sharpened it a bit, lowered the highlights and adjusted brightness and contrast.... i do not know, how my photo is shown on your monitor; my mac shows it sharp and contrasted enough. it`s a different world there in greenland - water, ice and the sky seem to melt. and that`s what i want to show on this pic. best wishes, anne
  13. is a hard job. to take photos of the blue arctic scenery is more easy. you like the capture?
