No PS trick; these birds were actually lined up like this, waiting at a feeder at a friend's house. His hobby is bird watching and he invited me to shoot some hummingbirds. This is a platinum over gold leaf print and looks much better in person.

Well executed - the high contrast shows the fire well. My only regret is that I cannot see a bit more of the ruin in the lower right hand corner.

I like that this is not over-saturated but a good look at what people might see when out hiking. I thought at first the the green-brown cast was intentional but found it in most of the work in your portfolio, so I am wondering whether or not it is. You might try cropping out some of the sky at the top of the image to see if you like that composition better. Regards.

Thank you for your comments. You are correct: there is a significant loss of detail in the petals which has convinced me to upgrade the scanner. Thanks for taking time to leave a comment.

Yes, I know - there are four orchid blossoms.

Well composed with good exposure. Nicely done. Regards

I love this unusual flower. It is unfortunate that you only had a small snapshot camera with you for this capture, but I think properly exposing the outer petals with it would block up the color on the inner petals. Still, it is a beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing it with us. Regards.

Nice color and detail, and well exposed. Have a happy and prosperous New Year.

The composition is okay, leading the eye to the hill and the cloud, but the color cast is really bad news - was the cast intentional? I removed the color cast, added a slight contrast adjustment, and came up with something different.

Those power lines drive me crazy. This was shot October 11 for fall colors, but the B&W images turned out much better.

I like the idea behind this image but believe there is too much empty space at the top of the photo. The photo might be improved if it contained only three gourds, or five perhaps, but the even number lacks tension. I like the textured background but I think there is more work to be done with the foreground. Regards.

I love the textures and your focus is perfect; the tonality is very good, as well. The image seems to be lacking a central focus. You have this wonderful visual of lines drawing the eye into the center-right, but when the eye follows, there is nothing there to see; which, I think, is the only problem with this wonderful shot. Regards.
Joy!
