I have a fairly new spare EN-EL 15 battery which recently suffered water damage. When it had dried out I put it in my camera and got around 300-odd shots before it went flat. I am now unable to charge it - presumably it's dead and should be thrown away?

<p>Andrew - it's not there. Nonetheless, you've fixed my problem - many thanks again for your most helpful insight. Regards, George</p>

<p>Many thanks, Andrew. You are correct. I'm using Photoshop 6 - please tell me how do I find the Ignore EXIF Profile Tag?</p>

<p>Andrew - When I go to Photoshop to print, my Source Space shows as Document opRGB and my Print Space Profile SPR2400 Premium Glossy. I convert my Source Space to Adobe RGB and print normally but am confused about the opRGB. I hadn't printed for a few months and had not noticed this anomaly before.</p>

<p>My source space has suddenly changed from Adobe RGB to Document opRGB - I can't understand why and have been unable to correct it other than to convert each time I go to print. Can someone help please. Much appreciated.</p>

<p>Thank you all for your prompt responses - I am using Windows XP and had opened a new 'my pictures' directory to file a separate category of photos. As suggested by Jeff, I returned these photos to the main 'my pictures' folder and the problem has disappeared.</p>

<p>Each time I open a folder in Photoshop to print I see only a list of the images it contains as opposed to the
thumbnails that I want to print from. Despite the fact that I continually click on thumbnails, each time I
close the folder and open it again it has reverted to a list. Please tell me where I am going wrong?

<p>Peter - many thanks. I can see where I was going wrong. I had a few frustrating hours scanning the manual, amongst other things. I find Epsonscan easier to use with post processing in Photoshop. Is there any real advantage in using Silverfast?</p>

<p>I have been using Epson scan with my Epson V700 with no problems. I decided to give the bundled Silverfast a go and can't get a scanned image. What happens is that I get a scan of the film holder with the negatives in it but no images. Any suggestions, please?</p>

<p>Adrian - many thanks for your response. I am away from home at the moment but will give it a try when I return.<br>

<p>I have a Minolta Dimage 5400 Elite II scanner which has had very little use but has developed a fault. I am told by the Australian agent that it needs an 'image block' but that this part is not available in Australia. Does anyone have any suggestions or do I just throw the unit away.</p>

I am thinking of replacing my 1280/1290 because of its slow printing speed -
twenty-four minutes for an A4 colour print at highest quality. Will the 2400
print at a much faster speed? Appreciate any comments.

Cuts to Blow Up. Thanks, Colin - I rather suspected that that was the case.

Does anyone know why only a censored version of Blow Up is available?

Nikon made a 105mm lens for the Bronica S series, incorporating a built in shutter allowing flash synch at all speeds up to 1/500 sec. I use mine all the time.

Have always enjoyed your site. What happened in Lakenba?

This letter appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, Wed 14 Sept.
Has anyone else experienced this? On Saturday morning at the
Paddington markets with about 1000 other people, a friend from
overseas wanted to take a photograph of the stalls with the church in
the background. As he was about to do so, a security guard stepped
forward and told him he was on private property and taking
photographs was not permitted for security reasons.
The circumstances were so ludicrous I thought the guard was joking,
but he was adamant and serious and would not listen to any reason
such as the greater risks posed by garbage bins, unattended boxes and
backpacks carried and lying on the ground behind the stalls.
