for more information on yellowed lenses go find the spotmatic group over on Yahoo. Most people believe that this radioactive glass poses no threat.
There is a cure for getting rid of the yellowish tinge and they describe it over there.
On the other hand if you shoot BW, it is like a built in yellow filter which can be a good thing.

from Gandy's T page:
Apparently stronger top plate compared to the Bessa R or L. All three use polycarbonate top and bottom plates with a cast metal inner body.
you are paying for the Heliar Lens.... apparently only 2000 were made.
as for plastic - well that debate can rock on with someone else. It is polycarbonate over a metal inner body, feels solid to me, anything but flimsy.

T and T101 are different build quality. Look at Gandy's site for some details on the differences. If you want the Heliar 50 it is only available with the T101 set.
The question is can you adjust to no viewfinder. Both Ts have no body viewfinder just a rangefinder, you must use an external viewfinder. That is a very different way of working. Lots of people did not try very hard to adjust to it.
The longer rangefinder base of the Ts, make it attractive for focusing 90 or 135mm lenses.
The 50mm Heliar lens is quite good. It's your money, and your choice how to spend it.
I bought the T101 and I intend to hang onto mine.

The contaflex lenses that I know about are the 35mm and the 115mm, there is also an 85. I have found the 50mm to be one of the sharpest 50mm lenses I have ever used. I should use it more.
