Very effective to me because of the choice of composition. Most people would eliminate the surroundings, but the fact that you included them says much more: a wild animal out of place in an unnatural environment. Nicely done.

Interesting, I agree. Very up-close and personal. I was surprised to learn that you shot it w/ a 50mm lens. It feels wider. Interesting array of patterns & texture. Nice one.

Excellent. Great composure & subject. I like the depth, from fore- to background. The rare photo where something is actually happening. (I'm not sure if the sepia tone adds anything, though.)
